Suffering From Endometriosis? Find Natural Relief Here.

Endometriosis is a painful condition where tissue commonly found in the uterus is found outside of the uterus – often involving the ovaries, fallopian tubes and pelvic tissues. This condition causes pain (mild to severe), fatigue, menstrual abnormalities, cramping, cysts (endometriomas), adhesions, scar tissue, painful intercourse and infertility. It is estimated that endometriosis impacts about 10% of women of reproductive age. Women with endometriosis are more likely to develop candida (yeast infections) and endometrial cancer.

How Achelois can support women with Endometriosis:

Scientists believe that endocannabinoid dysfunction plays a role in several aspects of endometriosis. CBD and CBG work together to activate both the CB1 and CB2 receptors. This action increases dopamine, reduces sensitivity to nerve pain, slows proliferation and migration of abnormal cells and causes apoptosis of mutated cells.

Cramp Bark is considered a uterine decongestant, antispasmodic, muscle relaxant and astringent that has the ability to block spasms of smooth muscle. Uterine congestion is a pattern that can be associated with endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, fibroids and ovarian cysts. Cramp bark reduces nervous system tension, relaxes overactive uterine muscles caused by overproduction of prostaglandins, and increases blood flow to the abdominal region to relieve stagnation. Cramp bark is also cytoprotective, and has anticancer properties.

Wild yam can help to balance hormones leading to lower levels of abnormal cells, thereby reducing symptoms and risk of escalation to implants, cysts, adhesion and cancer. As a detoxifying herb, wild yam also promotes removal of accumulation and congestion which can be excessive when endometriosis is present. Wild yam also facilitates oxygenation and nutrient transportation to the cells of the nervous system, decreasing fatigue and mood swings. As an antispasmodic, wild yam also acts to reduce cramping.

Yarrow is a very potent anti-inflammatory herb that is helpful to reduce pain and bloating associated with endometriosis. It is an excellent blood mover and purifier that relieves stagnation and congestion. As an antimicrobial, it helps to inhibit yeast infection. And perhaps one of its most well-known proficiencies is the ability to regulate cycles and normalize flow.

Cinnamon has an anti-clotting effect on the blood, curbing heavy bleeding. Cinnamaldehyde, a constituent found in cinnamon, naturally increases progesterone which balances estrogen.

Lavender is a mitotic that regulates cell division and cell growth lessening the risk of abnormal cells outside the endometrium. It also helps to reduce the physical and emotional stress associated with endometriosis by relaxing the nervous system.

Rose acts as a nervine, calming and relaxing the nervous system. It has a particular affinity for the heart and supports you through physical and emotional stress. It is an astringent that reduces inflammation and bloating. Geraniol, a terpene in roses, encourages apoptosis or death of abnormal cells.

Achelois should be used daily to support women with endometriosis, not just during the menstrual cycle. Suggested use is 1ml taken 3 times per day. This may be doubled on days with significant pain, inflammation or symptom expression. Dose should be doubled approximately 2 days before onset of menstruation. Dose may need to be tripled during the menstrual cycle for most effective pain management. The best practice is to use the least amount necessary to control symptoms. Do not exceed 15ml per day. Endometriosis has no known cure but proper diet and lifestyle in conjunction with supportive herbs can reduce symptoms, slow progression and encourage balance.
